2000. My first backroad Baja adventure in my new Jeep. From La Rumorosa I went south to Laguna Hanson. The creek in the right photo was the first time I crossed water. It was a challenge because I didn't know what my Jeep could do and I was alone. Everything we know about Baja doesn't prepare you for the beautiful pine forest at 4,000 ft. elevation. I drove through to Ojos Negros and on to Ensenada on HWY 3 where I saw this Octopus coming out of the ground. |

2000. After the trip to Laguna Hanson I felt I could go anywhere in Baja so later that year I took a trip from HWY 3 through Valle de la Trinidad to HWY 2 at Colonet and back up to Parque Nacional Sierra San Pedro Martir and back down by way of El Coyote to Mikes Sky Ranch. |
